Spring Sprang Sprung

Having spring fever lately. I can't stop online browsing. Not even shopping I just want to know every article of clothing any store or designer is selling. Today I gave Urban Outfitters spring catalog and winter sale a good once over and I wasn't all that impressed with any garments, but I am having intense accessorie lust. Shoes & Sunnies my two favorites.

I'm in love with platforms. Especially the clunky 70's ones. I think I favor platforms over any other heel in general because they're the only ones I can walk in. Still, I'm in love and I'm just going to own it and wear them with everything I own. Even if it makes me 1000 feet tall. I went to my great grand mothers funeral the other day, and wore heels because I couldn't find any other shoes to go with my outfit. And of course the only heels I own are platform. So I was towering about 6 ft 3 over my entire tiny old family. People are just going to have to get used to me being a giant.

In the book I've referred to in several posts that I'm STILL reading (Paint It Black) Josie the main character talks about a pair of red rubber cowboy rain boots she has. I think thats the cutest sounding shoe I've ever heard of. So I've been browsing good rain boots lately in search of something of the effect. The dr. martens they have at urban are adorable (they also have them ankle height) but they are severely over priced. Target has some really cute ones for really cheap. And I saw some cowboy boot shaped ones at Dillards. But they were an awful paisely.

I also really love the 90's native print booties and the jelly sandals. I couldn't tell you the amount of jelly sandals I've owned over the years.

As far as Sunnies go, I'm really really into the decade specific styles. You have your total 50's-60's cat eye styles. Some really great 70's porn star types. Amazing graphic nickelodeon/jeremy scott-esque 80's and 90's types and of course the classic heart shaped. The last pair in the pictures I buy every summer at least once or twice from Urban because I love the translucent pink color. Their possibly one of my favorite pairs of sunglasses ever owned. But they always always always break within a week of me buying them, and in some irrepairable way.
