So I've been thinking, and rethinking, and drawing, and redrawing, and planning, and replanning. And in my previous post explaining my free lance clothing line, I briefed you all on what is to come. Well the briefing needs to be re briefed because I've changed some things.
I've decided that I'm not going to add onto any of H&M or Walmart's basics because that seems like taking the easy way out and I like to feel independent and I'm a professional at doing things the hard way. I never seem to learn. So that idea has been scratched. All garments will either be 100% hand made or altered vintage pieces.
Also, I'm going to be releasing my 4 seperate concepts 2 at a time. The concpets I had before were Resistance Is Futile, Mr. & Ms. Mouse, Let Them Eat Cake, and Ankh You Gonna Ask My Name
R. I. F.'s name has been changed to These Fangs.
The girls section will be called She Bites Through Necks Like... & I'm still deciding on what to call the guys section. This section is based off of themes of Vampires, the 90's, Say Hi To Your Mom, Witchcraft, Anarchy, 60's & 70's punk trends, Zombies and after life.
These Fangs is going to be released paired with Mr. & Ms. Mouse for a spring/summer collection. The overall theme/concept/whatever is forgetting resposibility, and basically doing what you want. That Zombies, Vampires, and Monsters are really just a metaphor for Neverland. Zombies never grow up, death no longer means the party stops. We will live forever wreaking havock in afterlife. Continuing our adolescent rebellion forever. I want to convey my life goal: to play dress up for the rest of my life. To bring the alternate world I live in to everyone else. These Fangs & Mr. & Ms. Mouse will make you want to grab a box of cereal, a can of spray paint, take off your pants, light a cigarette, and run into the night buck wild. At least thats what I'm hoping.
