White Line Affair

Slide down you throat
& numb your teeth
You'll tear right through me
Futility would meet your grasp
You must not linger
Watch from afar
White unlike winter

I'm petrified by you
But lace yours with mine
Porcelain in ancient oak

Licking sweet whispers
The nape of my skull
Lets tear out our cages
& reveal pure soul

But keep it on ice
For a flame brews such fear
This skin isn't mine
To shed or to share

My warmth in dark night
My secret to keep
I need one to myself
I can't give you my all
If my innocent's been dealt
A previous engagement
A slip on my thigh
I anticipate the crash
Now you've left me so high
